WARM RUFFLES | AN OUTFIT OF THE DAY
I have an obsession with slip dresses (and lately, it seems like I have an obsession with telling you all what my obsessions are). I love the way that they're an easy wear, yet you can do so much with them. Just this weekend, when I was in Chicago, I decided to stop into Free People (like I do every time I'm within walking distance of a Free People) to take a look around. Usually, I go in knowing that I most likely won't buy anything because their clothes are extremely pricey. But like usual, I decided to walk through their sale section and see if there was anything in my budget as well as something that I liked.
As I was searching through the racks of clothes, nothing was catching my eye in the way it should in order for me to purchase it. Though as I was about to leave the corner of sale clothes, an employee came over and hung up two mauve ruffled slip dresses. I was immediately in love. I had been awing over the Free People Tattered Up Slip for quite some time now, but could never bring myself to spend near $100 on a slip dress. But, once I saw this one hanging on the rack, very similar, but unique to the Tattered Up dress, I decided then that I needed to buy it.
To make myself even more willing to purchase this dress, regardless of the beauty of it, it ended up being on sale: $30 with an additional 50% off, making the total only $15! A deal that I couldn't pass up.

I decided to keep my layering simple, I order for the dress to be the main statement. I threw on one of my favorite cardigans from PINK REPUBLIC (Kohls), tights, a long necklace, and black booties. My entire outfit was comfy but pretty. Since this slip does have a very deep V for the neckline along with a very slouchy look around the arms, I decided to wear one of my lace halter bralettes for additional coverage.
