NEW YORK FASHION WEEK, FALL 2015 | MIDWEEK FAVORITES
It's the middle of the week (for Fashion Week), only three more days to go. Seeing as I didn't post for the past four days, I decided that I would do a midweek update of my favorites from the past four days. This past week has been full of amazing designers and unique pieces. Each show has their own different atmosphere, an important aspect in runway shows.
Here are my favorites:
Midweek Recap | MARK & ESTEL
A STAIRWAY TO THE STARS, inspired by their latest rock album, this line is nothing short of a rock chic factor. With dark colors, plaids, and edgy textures, Mark & Estel hit the runway with an electric guitar force that isn't to be reckon with. Starting their fashion line in 2005, they have been the duo that not only creates glam pieces, but also takes the runway and makes it their musical stage by performing their song "A STAIRWAY TO THE STARS" at the end of their collection. And, in the words of Mark and Estel themselves: "rock your own style, you are a rock star. you're a fashion rock star".
Midweek Recap | CAROLINA HERRERA
Stunning dresses are her signature pieces. This year, she has stunned us yet again with her beautiful structured pieces. With muted colors and lively patterns, her casual dresses as well as gowns, are sure to be seen on the red carpet via celebrities as well as cocktail parties for those who can afford the hefty price tag.
Midweek Recap | CUSHNIE ET OCHS
Sophistication is the premise that Cushnie Et Ochs follows. From dazzling designs to fierce color choices, this power duo -- Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs -- know how to create pieces that will turn every head on either the street or the work place.
Midweek Recap | RANFAN
New to NEW YORK FASHION WEEK this year, a designer who incorporates layering, texture, and details to all of her outfits. The geometric patterns mixed with both vibrant and muted colors with a touch of mesh textiles create outfits that are captivating and special... a designer that we're sure to see hitting the runway in years to come.
Midweek Recap | SUMMARY
New and hard to forget designers, so far NYFW has been anything but disappointing. Stay tuned for the an update on the last few days of fashion week.
