BACK TO SCHOOL OUTFITS INSPIRED BY STREET-STYLE PINTEREST

BACK TO SCHOOL OUTFITS INSPIRED BY STREET-STYLE PINTEREST

Some use the beginning of a new school year to show off their new haircut and color, their killer tan from a swanky summer vacay or their style-evolution.  Regardless of what the new year means to you, it always makes going back to school easier when you have a few new outfit ideas up your sleeve, just waiting to be shown off to the world.  Some of us though, may be saving our money for events and other activities during the school year, but creating #streetstyle approved outfits for back to school is only a Pinterest click and a wardrobe treasure-hunt away.

LOOK NO.1

WHEN THE WEATHER IS BELOW SIXTY-DEGREES & YOUR CLASSES ARE TYPICALLY FREEZING

The weather sometimes can take a turn for the worse and leave us shivering in bed when we wake up in the morning.  If you're currently still in high school, you'll also know that if it's cold outside, it's sure as heck going to be freezing inside your classes, because, who needs a proper working A.C.?  If you're in college and it's cool outside, you're most likely walking to-and-from classes, and when the weather is so unpredictable, a practical outfit is essential.  My favorite way to dress appropriately when it's late-August/early-September, yet the weather thinks otherwise, is to mix together pieces that are made for the warmer months and pieces that are made for the colder months.  Pinterest's "street style" tag is filled with looks pairing sweaters and skirts together, the perfect look to recreate when you're feeling a little cold, yet still want to have summery-flairs.

WHEN YOU'RE NOT FEELING A SKIRT OR A DRESS BUT STILL WANT TO LOOK COOL AND FASHIONABLE

Boyfriend jeans are a gift from God to the fashion-world. Not only are they the most comfortable pair of jeans you can own (why wear jeans otherwise), but they're also very trendy and can be dressed up or down.  During the school year, it's easy to become lazy with your outfit ensembles, but a  pair of boyfriend jeans make getting dressed a lot easier.  In addition to the major style points you'll be scoring, you'll also feel comfortable no matter what temperature it is in your classrooms or even your walk to-and-from class.  The best way to wear boyfriend jeans is to pair them with a graphic or plain tee with a pair of simple flats for an added girly flair.  No need to worry about your hair, throw it up in a top-knot and you're ready to conquer the day.  Messy-chic is all the rage.

WHEN THE WEATHER IS SO-SO BUT YOU'RE STILL FEELING THOSE SUMMER BOHO BABE VIBES

Going back to school means giving up your ideal summer wardrobe: flowy dresses, arm cuffs and gladiator sandals. But just because it's time to hit the books, that doesn't mean that your outfits have to be any less festive.  A faux suede skirt is the perfect piece to wear all-year-around, especially when you want to incorporate those boho-vibes into your school look.  When paired with an oversized button-up, the look becomes collegiate, yet fits right in with the summery look you've been wearing the past three months.  As for shoes, throw on whatever you feel goes with the look and ties in with the color scheme on your skirt. Personally, I love a good ribbon ballet flat, but any shoe that is comfortable to walk in and still remains cohesive with your outfit will work just as perfectly.
