THIS ONE'S FOR YOU, BOYS.

THIS ONE'S FOR YOU, BOYS.

Whether you grace the streets of a cosmopolitan city or you find yourself roaming the sidewalks of a quaint town, you will most likely notice one thing no matter where you are: women's street style.  It's seems as though no matter what type of place you're in,  each lady, observably, seems to have their own creative sense of style.  But when it comes to men, it's the complete opposite. Men, on-the-other-hand, seem to dress in three different types of "uniforms."  While this isn't necessarily a bad thing -- because I bet it makes getting dressed in the morning very easy -- it is a notable factor when observing street style.  If you're a woman reading this post, you know who they are.  They know who they are.  And if you're a male reading this, you know who you are.   Unlike women, who define their style in a variety of different ways such as, bohemian, edgy, preppy or sometimes sporty, men seem to have a hard time defining their style.

So, this one's for you boys.

If you're in a style-defining rut, you've come to the right place.  No longer, will you be at a loss of words when trying to define your "look," but instead, you'll have three options to choose from.  You've never looked better.

THE TWO-CUFF, FUN SOCK MAN

Ah, the classic "Ken Doll."  Most likely to be seen in the financial district of any major city, or walking around with his lady in stilettos around the town to grab a bite to eat.  The "Ken Doll" has better hair than most women do and has a knack for picking out the most ridiculous socks you can find, and then proceeding to wear them with twice-rolled khakis.  Being a "Ken Doll" isn't negative.  They clearly have their stuff together.  More power to you, my friend.

THE DIE-HARD SPORTS FANATIC

My generalized assumption for the "Fan-Boy" is that they follow three guidelines when purchasing clothing.
1) If it has a number on it.  Cha-ching!
2) If it's made out of dry-fit.  Hand over the moolah baby!
3) If it has the "swoosh" on it.  Sold, to the "Fan-Boy!"
The "Fan-Boy" is the ultimate sports fanatic and will wear his gear with pride.  And let's be honest, there's nothing a lady likes more than a man who is dedicated to something, even if it's a sports team.

THE SHIRT LAYERING KING

The "Fashionisto" mildly resembles Justin Bieber. Other times, it resembles part of the Yeezy Ready-to-Wear line. But more likely than not, the "Fashionisto" won't admit to either of those similarities because they're what trendy, hip and original.  Right?  The fashion-obsessed man most likely clothes himself in what every other fashion-obsessed man does.  Layered tops, in neutral.  Joggers or skinnies, in neutral.  Some sort of sneaker, all white.  And of course, the "Fashionisto" has perfectly groomed facial hair and bushy-bushy brows.  This is the ultimate male street-style uniform.

Maybe some men fall under one of the typical looks.  Maybe some men don't.  But regardless, it's clear that they have an easier time putting together an ensemble than us ladies do and I think it's safe to say that I will always be jealous of that.
