5 SUMMER STEALS FOR THE SMART SHOPPER

5 SUMMER STEALS FOR THE SMART SHOPPER

Summer is finally inching it's way through the thermometer, and our sweaters and boots are making their way to the black holes otherwise known as the back of our closets. Since the chilly weather lasted so long, most of us had probably spent a fortune on re-vamping our wardrobe for fear of wearing the same "chilly outfit" more than once. Now that summer has arrived, its time to pull out the wallet once again and start shopping for summer attire. Like any fashionista, cute clothes are a must, but keeping the budget down after a long chilly winter/spring is a tricky job.

The fist step into finding the perfect pair of shorts for the summer, is picking out two main types.

#1: YOUR CLASSIC DENIM SHORT

Now, I've never been a huge fan of having your muffin top or buttox crack hanging out, so my go-to denim short is one that is high waisted.

SMART STEAL #1: HIGH RISE SHORT - $34.99

American Eagle Outfitters Hi-Rise Festival Shortie
This pair of high waisted shorts is perfect because the waist isn't too high so you don't have to worry about looking like a hipster, but it's the just right so you don't flash anyone. Plus, the wash goes with practically everything.

#2: YOUR CLASSIC FABRIC PRINTED SHORT
My absolute favorite thing to wear in the summer is a comfy pair of cotton shorts. Though the word "cotton" might be frightening since you haven't even thought about wearing cotton shorts since, WHAT, ELEMENTARY SCHOOL?! But when the shorts have a girly print all over, they're instantly transformed to a clothing piece that you can wear no matter what the occasion is.

SMART STEAL #2: PRINTED SHORTS - $15.00

Brandy Melville USA Eve Shorts
This pair of shorts are the perfect material and print. They can be dressed up with a simple chiffon tank top tucked in paired with a statement necklace, or dressed down with a cute graphic tee. Either way, you can look fab but feel comfy all at the same time.

The next fashion must for this summer are rompers and jumpsuits. This new trend might seem a little scary at first, but trust me, as soon as you put it on, you'll instantly feel comfortable and free.

#3: ROMPERS
The best thing about rompers are that you don't need to think twice about whether or not your shorts and tank top matches because rompers did all of that thinking for you.

SMART STEAL #3: GIRLY ROMPER - $58.00

Nasty Gal Peaches and Dream Romper
Though this romper is more on the pricey side, its a can't-pass-up item because of the bohemian detailing on the waist. Paring this romper with a pretty pendent (like shown) adds some dressiness in a simple and girly way.

#4: JUMPSUITS
As scary as this new trend may look, once you put this on, you'll feel comfortable instantly- GUARANTEED!

SMART STEAL #4: SIMPLE JUMPSUIT - $29.99

Necessary Clothing On Display Jumpsuit

Since this jumpsuit already has a cute neckline, there's no need for any extra jewelry. Add a pair of cute colorful wedges for a pop of color and you're good to go, and as an added bonus, COMFORTABLE.

The last fashion must for this summer are halter tops. I don't know about you, but I remember when this trend was HUGE in 2000. Now they're making a comeback but are more trendy than those old tie back rainbow halters like you may have owned back in the day.

#5: HALTER TOPS
Show off your newly tanned shoulders with these comfortable tops.

STYLE STEAL #5: SIMPLE HALTER TOP - $17.80

Forever 21 Pleated Halter Top

This cute halter top would look fabulous paired with cute lace shorts and a simple necklace. These tops are a great fashion twist on your classic tank top.

So no need to hyperventilate over your summer budget. These 5 style steals are perfect to wear because you can dress them up or dress them down. They're versatile and comfortable and will undoubtedly draw attention to hot summer bod.

XOXO, Amanda
